In June 2026, national fish landings totaled 163.8 thousand metric tons (MT), representing a 73.5% decrease compared with June 2025 (617.1 thousand MT). This decline was mainly driven by lower anchoveta catches destined for the fishmeal and fish oil industry. In contrast, the decline was partially offset by a 5.4% increase in catches of resources for Direct Human Consumption (DHC).
