In May 2026, fish landings in the fishing sector totaled 175.2 thousand metric tons (MT), representing an 88.4% decline compared with the same month in 2025. This decrease was mainly driven by lower anchoveta landings for Indirect Human Consumption (IHC) (-97.6%), as well as lower catches of species destined for Direct Human Consumption (DHC) (-21.0%).
