Monthly Fisheries Statistical Survey on Aquaculture Activity
The Monthly Fisheries Statistical Survey on Aquaculture Activity is aimed at all industrial fishing and aquaculture companies. It is conducted monthly and has regional and national geographic coverage, including both marine and inland areas.
To collect, analyze, and quantify monthly data on the performance of extractive, productive, and marketing activities in the aquaculture sector nationwide, in order to provide reliable and timely information for appropriate decision-making.
Specific objectives
To obtain consistent, reliable, and timely information on extractive, productive, and marketing activities in the aquaculture sector, disaggregated by species, month, region, area, and other relevant variables.
To disseminate reliable information in order to analyze the short-term productive evolution of the aquaculture sector, as well as to provide supporting data for the calculation of various macroeconomic variables by the National Statistical System and public and private institutions.
To provide quantitative and qualitative information on the current situation and expectations of the aquaculture sector in relation to its performance within economic activity.
