I National Census of Artisanal Fishing in the Maritime Area 2012
The First National Census of Artisanal Maritime Fishing (CENPAR 2012) was conducted along the coasts of Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Ancash, Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Moquegua, Tacna, and the Constitutional Province of Callao. Artisanal fishermen and boat owners were registered at the location where they were found at the time of the census, regardless of their usual place of residence. The data collected in CENPAR 2012 serves as the foundation for public policy decisions in the sector.

I National Continental Fisheries Census 2013
In August 2013, the Continental Fisheries Census 2013 was initiated, covering all 24 departments of Peru. This survey identified over 32,124 artisanal fishermen and 4,581 aquaculturists within the continental region.

2016: National Census of Wholesale Markets (CENAMA)
The CENAMA provides updated nationwide information on the number of active markets, number of stalls, types of businesses, management models, infrastructure, solid waste management, facilities and equipment, cleanliness and security, administrative management, sanitation and food safety, training for vendors, investments, financing, and the economic outcomes of market administration.
