Business Landscape Directory
This section presents directories of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) operating in the manufacturing, trade, and services sectors. Each directory provides the following information: legal name, International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC), Revision 3, ISIC description, and location by department, province, and district. This information is obtained from administrative records from the National Superintendency of Tax Administration (SUNAT), the Ministry of Production, and private entities.
MSME Directory
This section displays directories of enterprises engaged in activities corresponding to the manufacturing, services, and trade sectors.
The manufacturing sector includes the following activities:
- Manufacture of food products.
- Processing of fresh fishery products (such as oyster shucking and fish filleting) not carried out on board fishing vessels.
- Printing and related activities.
- Manufacture of grain mill products, starches, and starch products.
- Leather processing.
- Wood preservation.
- Metal coating, plating, heat treatment, and polishing.
- Rebuilding or manufacture of machinery, such as motor vehicle engines.
- Tire retreading.
The services sector includes the following activities:
- Construction, transport-related, and IT services.
- Administrative and support services.
- Financial services.
- Health, educational, cultural, and other social services.
- Other service activities.
The trade sector includes the following activities:
- Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles, personal and household goods.
- Retail sale of computers, peripheral equipment, software and telecommunications equipment in specialized stores.
- Transportation, storage and communications.
- Hotels and restaurants.
- Real estate, business and rental activities
- Financial intermediation.
- Education
- Social and Health Services.
- Other community, social, and personal service activities.
Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) are a fundamental component of the global business sector. Their significance lies in their multiple contributions to the world economy, such as their share of the total number of businesses and their role in job creation.
In Peru, MSMEs represent 99.4% of the business structure, generate 61.4% of employment, and contribute 7% of the total value of exports. Of the 2.2 million formal MSMEs in Peru, 94.7% are microenterprises, 5.0% are small enterprises, and 0.3% are medium-sized enterprises.
