About us
The Observatory
The PRODUCEmpresarial Observatory is a strategic tool that regularly compiles and generates evidence and analysis on the productive performance of the business sector, while also contributing to the dissemination of information on business opportunities and specialized analytical and technical documents on the performance of companies in Peru.
This tool is an initiative developed by the Ministry of Production to promote and strengthen business growth and to foster the development of Peru’s productive sector.
Our approach
To date, the predecessor to the PRODUCEmpresarial Observatory—the portal of the Ministry of Production’s General Office for Impact Evaluation and Economic Studies—has received more than 10 million visits since its launch in 2015. We are responsible for providing official statistical information on businesses and the fisheries and aquaculture sectors to stakeholders involved in the country’s productive development, including business associations, entrepreneurs, national research and planning centers, government institutions, local and regional authorities, and international organizations.
Our mission is to disseminate progress related to productive development in Peru and to broaden access to information for business decision-makers across the country. We also monitor key performance indicators for businesses and productive development policies, assessing their effectiveness and efficiency in order to help enhance productivity and competitivenes.
We are a leading source of productive development data
We provide data, analysis, and key information on the productive development services that PRODUCE delivers to businesses nationwide, with the aim of increasing their productivity and competitiveness. We also disseminate publications and statistics generated by the sector, as well as information on financing, public procurement, green economy, technology and innovation, regulations, and relevant events and news from the productive business sector.
We help inform and guide discussions on the importance of productive development in Peru through a territorial approach. We promote an agenda for analysis, discussion, and public policy recommendations to support decision-making in both the public and private sectors.
We foster effective national and international cooperation to improve understanding of productive and business development, while also contributing to people’s quality of life and to the country’s economy.
