January 2025: Domestic Trade Statistical Bulletin

In January 2025, sales in the domestic trade sector increased by 5.5% year-on-year, marking nine consecutive months of positive results. This performance was mainly driven by the recovery of domestic demand (+5.9%), particularly private consumption. Among the activities that recorded higher sales during the month were supermarkets and hypermarkets (+6.9%), department stores (+5.5%), home equipment stores (+5.7%), hardware and home improvement stores (+2.5%), and pharmacies and drugstores (+5.4%).
