In April 2023, domestic trade sales recorded moderate growth of 5.1% compared to April 2022, marking three consecutive months of positive results. This growth was driven by higher sales of mass consumption products (+17.3%) and pharmaceutical products (+8.7%). In contrast, this performance was partially offset by lower sales in hardware stores (-11.1%), book and newspaper retailers and stationery shops (-8.5%), as well as home equipment products (-9.1%).
