This document contains information on the informality rate among MSEs for the period 2018–2022, as well as informality by economic sector and region. It also includes the methodology used to define informality. According to data from the National Household Survey, the informality rate among MSEs increased by an average of 2.3 percentage points per year over the last three years. In 2022, the informality rate among MSEs was 84.8%; that is, 8 out of every 10 productive units were informal.
