In October 2021, extractive activity in the fishing sector decreased by 51.0% in volume terms compared to October 2020. This result was mainly explained by lower landings of resources intended for direct human consumption (DHC), due to reduced artisanal fishing activity, which was affected by unfavorable oceanographic conditions, particularly the continued cooling of coastal waters.
