In November 2021, extractive activity in the fishing sector recorded an increase of 22.7% in volume terms compared to November 2020. This result was mainly explained by higher anchoveta landings intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) from the north-central zone, corresponding to the second 2021 fishing season, supported by favorable oceanographic conditions for this species.
