Extractive activity in the fishing sector recorded a slight decrease of 0.7% in volume terms compared to December 2021. This result was mainly explained by lower anchoveta landings intended for the fishmeal industry (-3.9%), although it was partially offset by a significant increase in landings of fishery resources from artisanal fishing, particularly giant squid and jack mackerel.
