In July 2024, landings of hydrobiological resources in the fishing sector totaled 186.7 thousand metric tons, representing growth of 56.2% compared to the same month of the previous year. This result was mainly explained by higher anchoveta catches intended for indirect human consumption (IHC), which increased by 97,900.0%, as well as by a 23.5% increase in catches of fishery resources intended for direct human consumption (DHC).
