In Peru, MSMEs play a crucial role in economic development, as they account for 99.4% of the business structure, employ 89.4% of the working population in the private sector, contribute 12.6% of tax revenue from business income, and generate 5.8% of total export value. In this context, the General Office of Impact Evaluation and Economic Studies (OGEIEE) of the Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) makes available key information on the performance of MSMEs nationwide.
