In January 2025, domestic trade sales recorded significant year-on-year growth of 5.5%, marking nine consecutive months of positive results. This performance was mainly driven by the recovery of domestic demand (+5.9%), particularly private consumption. By category, increases were observed in sales of supermarkets and hypermarkets (+6.9%), department stores (+5.5%), home equipment stores (+5.7%), hardware and home improvement stores (+2.5%), and pharmacies and drugstores (+5.4%).
