In June 2025, GDP in the fishing sector recorded a significant increase of 33.7% compared to the same month of the previous year. This result was mainly explained by higher anchoveta catches intended for indirect human consumption (IHC). Total landings amounted to 614.5 thousand metric tons, representing a 69.7% increase compared to June 2024, when landings reached 362.2 thousand metric tons.
