In July 2025, GDP in the fishing sector recorded significant growth of 34.8% compared to the same month of the previous year. This result was mainly explained by higher anchoveta catches intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) in the north-central zone. Total landings amounted to 369.2 thousand metric tons, representing a significant increase of 97.7% compared to July 2024, when landings reached 186.7 thousand metric tons.
