Manufacturing production recorded a decline of 9.3% compared to September 2022. This result was mainly explained by lower activity in the non-primary subsector (-13.6%), associated with a decrease in both domestic demand, of around 1.4%, and industrial exports (-10.2%). However, this decline was partially offset by the significant growth, for the second consecutive month, of the primary subsector (+8.2%), particularly due to the strong performance of industrial fishing for direct human consumption (canned and frozen products) and the oil refining industry.
