In October 2025, GDP in the fishing sector recorded significant growth of 25.7% compared to the same month of the previous year. This result was mainly driven by higher catches of resources intended for direct human consumption (DHC), particularly frozen and fresh products. Total landings amounted to 169.4 thousand metric tons, representing a 109.1% increase compared to October 2024, when landings reached 81.0 thousand metric tons.
