In 2025, the GDP of the fishing sector recorded a growth of 2.9% compared to the previous year, driven mainly by the increase in catches of resources destined for DHC (frozen products). Total landings reached 6,206.8 thousand metric tons, representing a moderate growth of 6.7% compared to what was recorded in 2024 (5,818.6 thousand MT).
