The Ministerio de la Production and the APEC published the results of an international study on the effects of formalization programs on the productivity and survival of micro and small enterprises. The research analyzes experiences in Australia, Canada, Chile, Mexico, and Peru, showing that participating firms improve their performance, market access, and integration into the financial and regulatory system—especially when programs combine formalization with support services such as access to financing and market linkages.
