In December 2025, landings of hydrobiological resources in the fishing sector totaled 848.5 thousand metric tons, representing a 14.6% decrease compared to the same month in 2024. This decline was mainly explained by lower anchoveta catches intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) (-24.0%), which were partially offset by higher catches of species intended for direct human consumption (DHC) (+112.0%).
