In January 2026, landings of hydrobiological resources in the fishing sector totaled 430.4 thousand metric tons, representing a 29.8% decrease compared to the same month in 2025. This decline was mainly explained by lower anchoveta catches intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) (-42.3%), which were partially offset by higher catches of species intended for direct human consumption (DHC) (+30.5%).
