In April 2025, sales in the domestic trade sector grew by 5.3% year-over-year. This growth was primarily driven by stronger domestic demand (+2.5%) and the seasonal boost from the Easter holiday, which stimulated tourism and related activities. Across the various segments of domestic trade, notable increases were recorded in sales of supermarkets and hypermarkets (+2.2%), department stores (+13.6%), hardware and home improvement stores (+7.0%), pharmacies and drugstores (+4.5%), home goods (+4.3%), and bookstores, newspapers, and stationery products (+8.7%).
