April 2025: Domestic Trade Statistical Bulletin

In April 2025, sales in the domestic trade sector grew by 5.3% year-on-year. This result was mainly driven by the positive performance of domestic demand (+2.5%) and the seasonal effect of the Easter holiday, which boosted tourism and activities related to the holiday. By category, notable increases were recorded in sales of supermarkets and hypermarkets (+2.2%), department stores (+13.6%), hardware and home improvement stores (+7.0%), pharmacies and drugstores (+4.5%), home equipment stores (+4.3%), and book and newspaper retailers and stationery shops (+8.7%).
