In April 2025, landings of fishery resources totaled 591.6 thousand metric tons, representing a significant decrease of 32.1% compared to the same month in 2024. This decline was mainly explained by lower anchoveta catches intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) (-43.4%), which were partially offset by an increase in catches of species intended for direct human consumption (DHC) (+63.9%).
