August 2025: Sectoral Inflation Report

In August 2025, monthly inflation in Metropolitan Lima was -0.29%, marking a decrease compared to the previous month (+0.23%). This behavior was largely driven by lower prices for bonito, residential electricity, jack mackerel, green peas, and interprovincial bus fares. Conversely, higher prices for other products—such as lemons, urban bus and minibus fares, eviscerated chicken, Hass avocados, and restaurant menus—partially offset these deflationary pressures.
