August 2025: Sectoral Inflation Report

In August 2025, monthly inflation in Metropolitan Lima reached -0.29%, marking a decrease compared to the previous month (+0.23%). This monthly performance was largely explained by lower prices of bonito fish, residential electricity, jack mackerel, green peas, and interprovincial bus fares. Conversely, higher prices of other items, such as limes, bus and minibus fares, eviscerated chicken, Fuerte avocados, and restaurant meals, partially offset deflationary pressures.
