Conjunctural Report: Artisanal Fishing Sector 2022

January 27, 2024April 1, 2023 por Harriet Goméz Moncada

The extractive activity of the Artisanal Fishing Sector recorded a 3.6% drop, in terms of volume, compared to 2021. This performance is mainly due to the unfavorable oceanographic conditions (presence of cold waters) caused by the La Niña phenomenon during most of the year, as well as the strong waves recorded on the coastal coast.
