Socioeconomic Situation of Women Entrepreneurs in Peru: Performance and Key Indicators
In 2025, 1,084,119 formal enterprises were women-led, representing 44.1% of the country's business sector. Of these, 99.5% were micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), while 0.5% were medium-sized and large enterprises. Additionally, 7.0% (75,789 enterprises) operated in the manufacturing sector, primarily in apparel manufacturing (22.9%), food and beverages (20.3%), furniture manufacturing (11.1%), textiles (9.9%), and leather and footwear (3.4%).
