Over the past five years, from 2019 to 2023, plastics industry production showed positive performance, growing at an average annual rate of 1.4%. In 2024, plastics production grew by 5.5% compared to the same period of the previous year, supported by greater access to raw materials as a result of lower resin costs, which enabled higher production levels and improvements in final consumer prices.
