In December, monthly inflation in Metropolitan Lima reached +0.11%, representing an increase compared to the previous month (0.09%). This result was influenced by higher prices of interprovincial bus fares, domestic airfares, taxi fares, mandarins, and green peas. These upward pressures were partially offset by price declines in bonito fish, white potatoes, chicken eggs, jack mackerel, and mangoes; however, these decreases were not sufficient to counterbalance the overall rise in prices of other items.
