January 2024: Statistical Bulletin of domestic trade

In January 2025, domestic trade sector sales increased by 5.5% year-on-year, marking nine consecutive months of positive results. This growth was primarily driven by the recovery of domestic demand (+5.9%), particularly private consumption. Among the activities that saw increased sales during the month were supermarkets and hypermarkets (+6.9%), department stores (+5.5%), home equipment (+5.7%), hardware and finishing stores (+2.5%), and pharmacies and drugstores (+5.4%).
