January 2026 : Sectoral Inflation Report

In January, monthly inflation in Metropolitan Lima stood at 0.10%, below the rate recorded in the previous month (0.24%). This result was driven mainly by higher prices for eviscerated chicken, restaurant meals, bus and minibus fares, white potatoes, and juice oranges. These upward pressures were partially offset by price declines in eggs, domestic airfares, interprovincial bus fares, Hass avocados, and passion fruit.
