In January, monthly inflation in Metropolitan Lima reached 0.10%, lower than the 0.24% recorded in the previous month. This monthly performance was largely explained by higher prices of eviscerated chicken, restaurant meals, bus and minibus fares, white potatoes, and juice oranges. Meanwhile, price declines in other items, such as chicken eggs, domestic airfares, interprovincial bus fares, avocados, and passion fruit, partially offset inflationary pressures.
