February 2023: Internal Trade Situational Report

In February 2023, internal trade sales experienced moderate growth of 5.2% compared to February 2022. This result was mainly driven by an increase in sales in supermarkets and small grocery stores (+7.7%), department stores (+16.6%), books, newspapers, and stationery items (+64.6%), and pharmacies and drugstores (+2.8%). In contrast, this growth was partially offset by a decrease in sales in hardware and home improvement stores (-13.0%) and home equipment products (-2.4%).
