In February 2025, domestic trade sales experienced a slight year-on-year decline of 1.2%. This decrease was mainly attributed to the weaker performance of department stores, supermarkets, and pharmacies, which were impacted by the temporary closure of several shopping centers due to infrastructure deficiencies. Analyzing the different sectors, the main points observed include declines in sales at supermarkets and hypermarkets (-2.9%), department stores (-2.8%), and pharmacies and drugstores (-1.1%).
