In February 2026, landings of hydrobiological resources in the fishing sector totaled 205.4 thousand metric tons, representing a slight decrease of 0.2% compared to the same month in 2025. This decline was mainly explained by lower catches of species intended for direct human consumption (DHC) (-9.3%), which were partially offset by higher anchoveta catches intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) (+25.9%).
