In March 2025, sales in the domestic trade sector recorded year-on-year growth of 6.0%. This result was due to higher turnover in supermarkets and hypermarkets (+5.8%), department stores (+3.6%), home equipment stores (+14.7%), hardware and home improvement stores (+2.0%), and pharmacies and drugstores (+10.9%). However, this growth was partially offset by a decline in sales of book and newspaper retailers and stationery shops (-3.5%).
