In November, GDP in the fishing sector recorded a significant increase of 17.6% compared to the same month of the previous year. Total landings amounted to 1,125.6 thousand metric tons, representing a significant increase of 33.2% compared to the same month of the previous year. This result was mainly explained by higher anchoveta landings intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) (+41.5%). In contrast, catches of resources intended for direct human consumption (DHC) declined by 35.9%.
