In October 2025, landings of hydrobiological resources in the fishing sector totaled 169.4 thousand metric tons, representing a 109.1% increase compared to the same month in 2024. This growth was mainly explained by higher catches of species intended for direct human consumption (DHC) (+117.1%), although it was partially offset by a decline in anchoveta catches intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) (-75.3%).
