Monthly Fishing Statistical Survey of Aquaculture Activity
The Monthly Statistical Survey of Aquaculture Activities targets all industrial and aquaculture fishing companies. It is conducted monthly and covers both regional and national levels, encompassing both maritime and continental areas.
To collect, analyze, and quantify data on a monthly basis regarding the extraction, production, and commercialization activities within the aquaculture sector at the national level, ensuring the availability of reliable and timely information for informed decision-making.
Specific objectives
To obtain consistent, reliable, and timely information on the extraction, production, and commercialization activities by species, month, region, scope, and various variables within the aquaculture sector.
To disseminate reliable information for the short-term analysis of the productive evolution of the aquaculture sector, and to provide the supporting data necessary for calculating various macroeconomic variables by the National Statistical System and public and private institutions.
To have quantitative and qualitative information on the current situation and future expectations of the aquaculture sector in relation to its performance within the economic activity.
