In 2025, fishing extraction in the Peruvian Amazon reached 26,284 metric tons, representing an increase of 19.9%, mainly due to higher extraction of palometa (+20.8%; 5,465 metric tons), followed by boquichico (+19.6%; 5,153 metric tons) and tilapia (+8.1%; 2,124 metric tons). In terms of aquaculture, San Martín led aquaculture harvests with a 49.4% regional share, followed by Amazonas (21.2%) and Loreto (8.5%).
