In August 2021, extractive activity in the fishing sector decreased by 23.3% in volume terms compared to August 2020. This result was mainly explained by lower landings of resources intended for direct human consumption (DHC), which were affected by unfavorable oceanographic conditions, particularly strong winds along the coast.
