Manufacturing production recorded a slight decrease of 0.8% compared to August 2021. This result was explained by the decline in the primary subsector (-2.5%), due to the lower availability of raw material for industrial fishing, oil refining, and sugar production, as a result of weather-related factors and higher input prices. To a lesser extent, the decline in the non-primary subsector (-0.3%) also contributed to this result.
