In December 2022, sales in the domestic trade sector increased by 4.4% year-on-year, as a result of the positive performance of most activities within the sector, such as supermarkets and hypermarkets (+1.8%), department stores (+0.4%), hardware and home improvement stores (+3.4%), pharmacies and drugstores (+14.6%), and book and newspaper retailers and stationery shops (+141.9%).
