In May 2023, sales in the domestic trade sector recorded a slight year-on-year increase of 0.1%, as a result of the positive performance of some activities within the sector, such as supermarkets and hypermarkets (+10.4%) and book and newspaper retailers and stationery shops (+7.5%).
