Total landings of hydrobiological resources amounted to 521.1 thousand metric tons, 210.2 thousand metric tons above the level recorded in July 2021, when landings reached 310.9 thousand metric tons. This increase was mainly explained by higher anchoveta landings intended for indirect human consumption (IHC) (+121.8%). In contrast, extractive activity in artisanal fishing intended for direct human consumption (DHC) decreased by 26.8%.
