In September 2021, extractive activity in the fishing sector decreased by 57.5% in volume terms compared to September 2020. This result was mainly explained by lower landings of resources intended for direct human consumption (DHC), which were affected by unfavorable oceanographic conditions, including the cooling of waters along the north-central coast and strong winds in the south.
