In 2017, MSMEs contributed 31% of the national value added and generated 89% of employment in the private sector. Given the significant role of MSEs in the economy, this study provides a detailed analysis of formal MSEs based on a set of basic characteristics, such as business size, sales, employment by economic sectors, and others.
